Today would have been DMX’s birthday, and it’s also the first official DMX Day in his home state of New York. Following the rapper’s death earlier this year, December 18th was formally declared Earl “DMX” Simmons Day in a resolution by the New York State Senate. Senator Jamaal Bailey, who co-sponsored the resolution, spoke on the Senate floor about the impact of DMX’s life and music. Happy DMX day, everyone!
