When this year’s Grammy nominations came out, Justin Bieber had a gripe. His album Changes had been nominated in the Best Pop Vocal Album category. Its lead single, “Yummy,” was in the running for Best Pop Solo Performance. “Intentions,” the album’s hit Quavo collaboration, was up for Best Pop/Duo Group Performance. Throw in a Best Country Duo/Group Performance nod for “10,000 Hours,” his one-off track with Dan + Shay, and Bieber was sitting on a very healthy four nominations. So what exactly was the problem?
