Anal C**t frontman Seth Putnam has died after suffering a suspected heart attack. He was 43 years old.Putnam (centre) formed the controversial grindcore band in Massachusetts in 1988 and released 11 deliberately offensive albums, including 1996's 40 More Reasons To Hate Us and I Like It When You Die, which followed one year later.In addition to Anal C**t, Putnam contributed vocals to recordings by Pantera (1996's Great Southern Trendkill), Corrosion Of Conformity, Brutal Truth and Napalm Death.According to a spokesperson, Putnam and his bandmates were working on new material just before his death."The chances are [Seth's] musical career's epitaph has yet to be inscribed," reads a statement by the band's press officer Kim Kelly. "I want to remind everyone that no matter how outrageous and controversial his musical career has been, Seth was still a human being with friends and family who loved him. I'm hoping that the internet will remember that. The man lived and died by his own rules; if anything, respect him for that."
