Is Thom Yorke’s latest tweet about Donald Trump or Theresa May?

"Not fit for office"

Following a series of cryptic tweets that led to speculation that new music could be on its way, Thom Yorke now has fans guessing whether his latest missive is about Theresa May or Donald Trump.

The Radiohead frontman has previously dismissed the US President as a “fucking clown”, hitting back at Trump following his decision to withdraw the US from the Paris climate change agreement last year.

Yorke also taunted May by shouting “strong and stable” during Radiohead’s Glastonbury headline set in 2017.

Now, Yorke has taken to Twitter to write simply: “not fit for office”. You can see that tweet beneath.

Many took the message to be a not so cryptic dig at Donald Trump:

While some fans pointed out that Yorke could also be referring to the British PM:

Others weren’t decided:

Yorke last released a solo album in 2014 with ‘Tomorrow’s Modern Boxes’, which was surprise-released with little warning via BitTorrent.

It is known that Yorke has been working on new solo music recently, having debuted a number of new tracks earlier this year. Those included songs called ‘I Am A Rude Person’, ‘Saturdays’, and  ‘Two Feet Off The Ground’.

Yorke also recently provided music for new short film Why Can’t We Get Along.

Radiohead recently announced details of a North American tour. The band will head to the US and Canada from July through to August.
