30 Seconds To Mars share emotional, Paris Jackson-featuring video for ‘Rescue Me’

The clip follows the news that Tomo Miličević has left the band

30 Seconds To Mars have shared a new video for their single ‘Rescue Me’.

The band, led by actor/musician Jared Leto, formed in 1998 and released their self-titled debut album in 2002. They have released five studio albums in total.

The video features close up shots of people crying, screaming, and later dancing. It includes cameos from Paris Jackson and Starcrawler’s Arrow de Wilde. Watch it below.

In a statement, Jared Leto said: “‘Rescue Me’ is a song about pain, a song about empowerment, a song about faith, and a song about freedom. It’s also a song about the brutal war so many of us wage against fear, depression, and anxiety in the hope that we might, one day, live a life filled with happiness and dreams.”

The video follows the confirmation of guitarist Tomo Miličević’s departure from the band. The musician was absent from the group’s recent European tour and today (June 12) shared a note with fans announcing he was no longer part of the line-up. “Please believe me when I say that this is the best thing for me in my life and also for the band,” he wrote. “Please don’t be sad or angry over this and most of all, please don’t be divided about this, this is a good thing and will be good for everyone.”

The reasons behind Miličević leaving the band have not been made public at present, although his departure is not believed to have come in acrimonious circumstances.
