Watch Liam Gallagher play three ‘Definitely Maybe’-era Oasis songs for the first time in years

The former Oasis frontman headlined Dublin's Malahide Castle last night

Liam Gallagher played three ‘Definitely Maybe‘-era Oasis songs for the first time in years last night (June 15).

The former Oasis frontman was performing at Malahide Castle in Dublin – one of a handful of big headline shows he has scheduled for this summer.

It was the first time Gallagher had performed the tracks without his Oasis bandmates. After opening with a mix of old hits like ‘Rock’n’Roll Star’ and ‘Morning Glory’, and recent solo tracks such as ‘Wall Of Glass’ and ‘Paper Crown’, he and his backing band began playing ‘Bring It On Down’. It was the first time the song had been played live since 2006.

Noel Gallagher has played the latter two tracks in solo sets and with his band, High Flying Birds.

Meanwhile, Liam Gallagher has designed and painted a sculpture of a giant worker bee in a bid to raise funds for the We Love Manchester charity. The 1.8m piece will be featured in a public art trail called Bee In The City from July until September 2018.

Gallagher is also set to headline shows at London’s Finsbury Park and Manchester’s Old Trafford Cricket Ground this summer, as well as appearing at a number of festivals. Tickets for Gallagher’s shows are available here. He is scheduled to perform at Belfast’s Belsonic tonight (June 16).
