Watch Beck and Jenny Lewis cover Neil Young’s ‘Harvest Moon’

The pair performed under the real Harvest Moon

Beck and Jenny Lewis covered Neil Young‘s iconic hit ‘Harvest Moon’ last night (September 25) at the Red Rocks Amphitheater in Denver, Colorado.

Lewis has been opening up for Beck during this tour, which promotes his 2017 album ‘Colors’. Speaking of the LP, NME described it as “Beck’s most mainstream-palatable record thus far”, adding that is is “by far Beck’s most upbeat and enjoyable record from front to back since the ’90s. Repeated listens will no doubt be rewarded.”

The pair performed the song under the actual Harvest Moon – the full moon occurring closest to the autumnal equinox. You can watch the rendition below.

Earlier this month (September 16), Beck covered Gary Numan‘s 1979 pop hit ‘Cars’ with the man himself during an appearance at Riot Fest.

Beck has long been a fan of Numan’s track, incorporating it into his live shows since the beginning of his ‘Colors’ tour. He’s has performed the song long before that, with one dating back to 2002.

Numan joined Beck on stage for the rendition. Writing on Twitter, Numan said: “Honoured to be invited to join beck on stage tonight at RiotFest. Incredible band.”

Earlier this year, Beck remixed U2‘s ‘Songs Of Experience’ track ‘Love Is Bigger Than Anything In Its Way’.

He opened for the band during their 30th anniversary tour of their classic 1987 album ‘The Joshua Tree’ in 2017 and
he also did a remix of ‘Lights Of Home’ from their recent album. That remix featured a riff from Haim’s 2014 single ‘My Song 5’ and also featured the girl band on backing vocals.
