LeBron James says the Lakers listen to Eminem on ‘White Boy Wednesday’

The basketball star revealed a secret about the team's practice soundcheck

LeBron James has told reporters the Los Angeles Lakers listen to Eminem on ‘White Boy Wednesday’.

The basketball star was asked about the team’s soundtrack at a practice session after journalists heard the Detroit rapper’s music being played in their facility.

Asked what he thought of Eminem being on the playlist, James replied: “Today’s White Boy Wednesday. Seriously. You’re laughing, but today’s White Boy Wednesday. It’s the only white boy music day, which I enjoy. I love Eminem. But it was more than just Eminem. We had a lot of good music today.”

Eminem has recently made headlines with his feud with Machine Gun Kelly. He called out the rapper on ‘Not Alike’, a track on August’s surprise-released album ‘Kamikaze‘ that sparked a series of diss tracks and comments traded between the pair.

Marshall Mathers has also angered sections of the hip-hop community after he “jokingly” suggested P Diddy had “put the hit out that got [Tupac] killed” on the track ‘Killshot’. Jay Electronica warned Eminem to “tread carefully”, while Joe Budden said the New York musician had told him he was planning to respond.

Meanwhile, Eminem recently took out a full-page advert mocking critics of ‘Kamikaze’. “#1 in 103 countries and 434,000 equivalent album units in the US first week”, the advert read, after listing a number of criticisms from the album’s reviews. “Thanks for the support, assholes!”
