Watch Rami Malek perform ‘We Will Rock You’ in new ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ Queen movie clip

Ahead of the anticipated film's release next week...

A newly released clip of Bohemian Rhapsody shows Rami Malek (Freddie Mercury) at work in the studio with Queen as the band write ‘We Will Rock You’. Check out the footage below.

Malek, 37, will hit the cinema screen as Queen’s legendary frontman next week (October 24).  Gwilym Lee, Ben Hardy, and Joseph Mazzello also star in the biopic.

During the new clip, Gwilym Lee’s Brian May is seen telling Malek’s Mercury: “I wanna give the audience a song they can perform”, before the group clap along to the now-iconic drumbeat.

“Imagine… thousands of people doing this in unison,” May says. “What’s the lyric?” asks Mercury.

The clip ends with the band performing the hit in front of a leg-stomping, clapping crowd.

‘We Will Rock You’ was penned by guitarist May and released in 1977. It features on the album ‘News of The World’.

Meanwhile, Lucy Boynton has praised her co-star Rami Malek for his portrayal of Freddie Mercury.

“He became Freddie so closely that I assumed many of those idiosyncrasies must be his own,” she explained. “Then we started hanging out, and I realised that he could not be more different. Having got to know him better, and then gone back to watch the film, I just think… how?”

Elsewhere, Rami Malek opened up on the moment that he was offered the iconic role of Mercury, likening it to a “gun-to-the-head” moment.

“What do you do? And I like to think if it’s a fight or flight situation, I’m going to fight. The scariest endeavours that I’ve chosen to take in my life have been the most fulfilling and rewarding. And this has proven to defend that equation.”
