Previously unseen live footage of Amy Winehouse has appeared online ahead of the release of a new documentary.
Back To Black, which will be released on DVD on November 2, will look at the making of the singer’s seminal second album of the same name and will feature new interviews with producers Mark Ronson and Saleem Remi.
Part of the new documentary includes footage from a show at London’s Riverside Studios. The private gig took place on February 10, 2008 – the same night Winehouse won five Grammys, including Record Of The Year.
A video clip of the late star performing ‘Love Is A Losing Game’ has now emerged. You can watch the footage below.
Meanwhile, Winehouse’s family confirmed recently that they are planning to make a biopic about the singer’s life. According to reports, veteran producer Alison Owen (Me Before You, Suffragette) will direct the film, while Geoff Deane (Kinky Boots) will write the script.
The announcement came days after plans were revealed for a hologram representation of Winehouse to tour in 2019. Despite a divisive reaction amongst fans, the musician’s father, Mitch Winehouse, described the project as “a dream.”
“To see her perform again is something special that really can’t be put into words,” he said. “Our daughter’s music touched the lives of millions of people and it means everything that her legacy will continue in this innovative and groundbreaking way.”
