Miley Cyrus joined Mark Ronson for a surprise appearance in London last night (December 7).

The pair, who recently collaborated on Ronson’s new single ‘Nothing Breaks Like A Heart’, performed together at the producer’s Club Heartbreak club night at G-A-Y in Soho.

According to reports, Cyrus joined Ronson onstage for an acoustic version of their joint track as well as her own 2013 hit ‘Wrecking Ball’ and a cover of Dolly Parton’s ‘Jolene’. Earlier today, the pop star shared footage of some of the performance on her Instagram page, captioning it: “Impromptu/acoustic performance of Nothing Breaks Like A Heart with @iammarkronson at Club Heartbreak.”

Speaking to NME recently, Ronson revealed it was Cyrus who had decided the single would be coming out, despite his solo record from which it is taken not being finished yet. “I didn’t know when we were gonna put this record out,” he explained. “Miley was like, ‘November, let’s go.’

“So now I’m like, ‘Oh, I better go finish this thing!’ It’s good though, to have that kind of pressure. Sometimes I can just fuck around with, like, a snare drum, for three months. So I like having a fire under me right now.”

Meanwhile, Cyrus has also discussed ‘Nothing Breaks Like A Heart’, describing it as having “really important messages.” “It was ‘What really breaks our heart?’” she told Ryan Seacrest. “And it’s the loss of children, the loss of lives – just all the violence that we see every single day. We really focused on the video, on celebrity culture versus like the important things in life and how you can marry the two because politics are a big part of my life, but fun entertaining pop culture is also something I really love.”
