Chance The Rapper awkwardly joins Backstreet Boys for Super Bowl ‘Doritos’ commercial

The sixth member of Backstreet Boys, anyone?

Chance the Rapper and Backstreet Boys have teamed up for an NFL Super Bowl advert that sees the ‘Colouring Book’ artist attempt to join the band.

In a teaser clip shared via the Backstreet Boys’ Twitter yesterday (January 17), Chance slots himself awkwardly with the iconic boy band before Doritos’ new Flamin’ Hot Nacho-flavoured crisps are advertised using a snippet of the band’s 1998 hit, ‘I Want It That Way’.

The full commercial is set to air on Sunday, February 3 during the Super Bowl, which traditionally broadcasts adverts for the event with big brands and big names.

Doritos also teased Chance The Rapper’s appearance by sharing photo of him on Twitter and writing beneath: “Our prediction for the big game? There’s a chance things are gonna get hot. Stay tuned 02.03.19 #NowItsHot.”

It’s not the first time Chance has swapped spitting bars for TV. Earlier this month, he starred in a new Sesame Street sketch that showed him rehearsing a play with Elmo and Cookie Monster.
