The Distillers are teasing a big announcement for next week – could more new music be on the way?

The band released their first new music in 15 years last September

The Distillers have teased a big announcement next Monday on social media, leading to speculation that more new music may be on the way.

In a post on Instagram, the band shared a picture with the Phil Collins inspired caption “I can feel it coming in the air…on Monday, oh lord.”

Whilst no further details have been released yet, the post has led to speculation the band will reveal more details about a new album, expected later this year.

Earlier this year, Brody Dalle confirmed the band would be heading into the studio to work on a new album  this year following a series of cryptic Instagram posts.

Posting a recent set of holiday photos to celebrate Christmas and her 40th birthday on Instagram, Dalle wrote: “Hello 40 , hello vintage 80’s dress from Paris that I found in the desert 5 years ago for NYE and never wore , hello luck , hello love , hello success hello divine protection , hello health , hello wishes , hello cake for breakfast , hello 2019 , hello you , happy new year! HELLO making a Distillers record in April , oh yes das right.”

The news came after the punk legends returned in September 2018 with two new songs, ‘Man vs Magnet’ and ‘Blood In Gutters’. The comeback music marked the LA-based band’s first new material since 2003’s’ Coral Fang’. The band also confirmed that their first new music in 15 years was to be released on vinyl this Valentine’s Day.

After announcing that their line-up would be the same as their formation during their last release ‘Coral Fang’ in 2003, the punk veterans then set about performing a run of US dates – their first shows in 12 years.

Meanwhile, The Distillers have been confirmed to the UK this summer as part of the line-up of August’s Reading & Leeds Festival 2019.
