Foals’ share zippy new single ‘On The Luna’ and reveal details of intimate tour dates

And announce a rare, intimate venue tour

Foals have released the second single from their forthcoming two-part album project ‘Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost’, a jerky new cut called ‘On The Luna.’

The track premiered tonight (February 14) on Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 show and the song’s accompanying visuals have been shared.

‘Exits’ and ‘On The Luna’ both feature on ‘Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost: Part 1‘, which is out on March 8 and will be followed by a second chapter in Autumn.

In an exclusive interview with NME where they spoke about the new project, Foals said that giving their new songs space to breathe across two albums allowed for more “coherence” as well as diversity – and that producing it themselves created an “undiluted image of what we wanted.”

“The lyrical threads are through both records,” frontman Yannis Philippakis said. “It’s not yin and yang or anything corny like that. You can also tell that it’s a band working in the same space over the same period of time. If you were to put it crudely, the first record is probably more keyboard-driven and has slightly more of a new wave feel to it. Then album two has more of the heavier rock frenetic energy.”

The band have also confirmed details of next month’s intimate tour of club-sized venues. Fans who pre-order ‘Everything Not Saved Will Be Lost – Part 1’ from www.foals.co.uk by midday (GMT) on February 25 will gain access to a ticket pre-sale for the March dates.
