The Florida artist, who released his third album ‘Ta13oo’ last summer, recently recorded a session for Australian radio station Triple J.
During the Like A Version broadcast he performed ’13LACK 13ALLOONZ’ from his latest LP, before wowing listeners with an enormous take on Rage’s 1996 track.
Playing with a live band in the studio, Curry threw himself around to the song’s riff while delivering an impassioned rap. Later, he referenced the current US President, rapping: “Donald Trump! Donald Duck! What the fuck!”
After the song ended, the rapper placed his microphone on the floor and left the live room.
Praising the cover, one YouTuber commented: “BEST. LIKE A VERSION. EVER.” Another said: “My jaw actually dropped the second Denzel opened his mouth.”
