Liam Gallagher claims that ‘Noel will sue him’ if Oasis footage is included in new documentary

"I've just been informed that I’ll be sued by the not so mighty little fella."

Liam Gallagher has claimed that brother Noel plans to sue him if he includes any footage of his Oasis days in a forthcoming documentary – taking another gig at him for not attending the ‘One Love Manchester’ tribute show.

The rock icon will release ‘As It Was’ later this year – a documentary that captures his tumultuous years with post-Oasis band Beady Eye and his eventual rise as a solo artist.

But he now claims that Noel’s management firm Ignition has threatened legal action if the film includes archive footage of his formative days in the legendary Britpop band.

“I’ve just been informed that I’ll be sued by the not so mighty little fella and his goons at ignition if I use any footage of me singing oasis yes oasis songs in AS IT WAS,” wrote Liam on Twitter.

“Who’s bitter now eh ps Dya want a hand selling those tickets AS YOU WERE LG x.”

Liam later added that the footage in question was his performance from the tribute concert ‘One Love Manchester’; a benefit show after the terrorist attack at Manchester Arena during an Ariana Grande gig.

“So it’s the footage of me singing ‘Live Forever’ at the One Love concert that’s upset team NG,” Tweeted Liam. “Maybe it’s the shame of the not so mighty little fella not showing up because he was too busy supping bubbles on a dingy with what’s her face.”

The pair previously came to blows over the One Love Manchester concert when Liam called Noel a “sad fuck” for not attending. Noel did however donate royalties from Oasis ‘Don’t Look Back In Anger’ to help the families of the victims, as well as performing at the We Are Manchester benefit concert.

Liam would later slam this is as a ‘PR stunt‘, before Noel responded that his brother ‘needed psychiatric help‘.

A representative for Noel declined to comment when contacted by NME about Liam’s latest comments.

The threat of legal action comes after Liam praised the final cut of the documentary last week.

“Just seen the film As It Was and it’s mega,” wrote Liam on Twitter.

“Well done to all involved. As you were, as it was who are ya want some dickhead LG?”

Although the release date for the film has yet to be revealed, Liam’s fans can see him back on the stage this summer for a string of shows across Europe.

After releasing his solo debut ‘As You Were‘ in 2017, Gallagher has been in the studio working on the follow-up which is due to arrive later in 2019.
