Madonna thanks “incredibly talented” children for joining her on ‘Celebration’ tour

"I need to acknowledge my incredibly talented children who carried me through this Journey each of them bringing their own unique talent to the stage"

Madonna has thanked her “incredibly talented” children for joining her on her massive ‘Celebration’ tour.

The legendary pop icon took to her official Instagram account to share a message to her kids. She thanked her son David and daughters Mercy, Stella and Estere for being her support system and co-performers throughout her ongoing tour.

“On the day before our 80th show of the Celebration Tour I need to acknowledge my incredibly talented children who carried me through this Journey each of them bringing their own unique talent to the stage,” began the caption of her post.

She continued: “Rehearsals began over a year ago with almost a 2 month break waiting for me recover from a near death experience. They never stopped practicing… they never stopped cheering me on and supporting me. Their enthusiasm kept me Going!!! They were also going to school and rehearsing every night. !! I am so very proud of all of them.

“I think what my children learned the most this year of rehearsing and performing is that if you want to follow your dreams, you have to work hard for them. And if all of them choose something different later in life, they will never forget this year of blood, sweat, and tears. Nor will I. ♥️ It’s a CELEBRATION!”

Madonna is set to conclude her massive tour on May 4 at Copacabana Beach in Rio De Janero, Brazil. In a five-star review of her performance at The O2 in London back in October, NME wrote: “On the opening night of her greatest hits tour Madge delivers the bangers in dazzling fashion, but it’s the emotional moments that make this show truly special.”

It continued: “The whole thing is a thrilling reminder that Madonna isn’t just a pop star, but also a cultural force who genuinely changed the world by chafing against what society expects from women in the public eye. That’s something worth celebrating in the dazzling, dynamic and at times slightly discombobulating way she presents it here. Really, you wouldn’t have her any other way.”

In other news, Taylor Swift‘s ‘Tortured Poets Department’ has officially gone Number One in the UK, delivering the UK’s biggest opening week in seven years and matching Madonna‘s record.

Elsewhere, Richard Madeley recently hit out at Madonna after the singer made him wait “six hours” for a television interview.
